2025 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Program --- Jingdezhen Ceramic University "International Ceramic Art Work Camp" Application Guide

1. Project Overview

The 2025 Jingdezhen Ceramic University "International Ceramic Art Work Camp" is a sub-project of the Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School program, focusing on the theme of "Ceramic Art and Culture", offering short-term study and exchange in the field of "Ceramic Art". It aims to provide a unique platform for international students, teachers, and researchers from our partner universities to gain an in-depth understanding of traditional Chinese ceramic art and modern design, while also promoting cultural exchanges and academic collaborations between the two universities.

1.Categories:

1) General Advanced Student;

2) Senior Advanced Student.

2.Specialization:

Ceramic Art and related majors

3.Study Periods:

Session 1: June 1st - June 30th

Session 2: December 1st - December 30th

4.Application Periods:

Session 1: May 6th - May 15th

Session 2: September 15th - November 15th

3. Application Eligibility

1.Basic Requirements:

Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, without medical history of infectious disease and mental disorders; Applicants must have good character and have no criminal records; Applicants genuinely intend to study Chinese history and cultures, respect Chinese customs, and abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government as well as the rules and regulations of the University.

2.Indentity Verification :

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.

Applicants who were Chinese citizens and then emigrated to other countries and acquired nationality should hold the non-Chinese passport for 4 years and above, and have records of actual residence at least for 2 years (9 months actual residence can be calculated as one year, subject to the exit/ entry records) outside of China in the last 4 years (by April 30 of the enrollment year).

3.Educational Requirements:

Applicants for General Advanced Student status must be undergraduate or postgraduate students currently enrolled.

Applicants for Senior Advanced Student status must be  doctoral students currently enrolled, or employed teachers, researchers, etc., with a master's degree or above.

4.Scholarship Coverage and Standards

The Program provides scholarship as follows:

1）free tuition

2）free on-campus accommodation(shared room for two)

3）living allowance

3,000 RMB/month for General Advanced Student

3,500 RMB/month for Senior Advanced Student.

4) free comprehensive medical insurance    

- Note: Other related expenses such as round-trip airfare, medical examination fees, visa fees, field investigation fees during the courses are borne by the students according to relevant standards.

5. Application Process and Required Materials

Applicants should log into the online application system (http://jcu.at0086.cn/student), select the I agree option and fill the code: 2510408 in the fast pass option to complete the online application, and upload high-definition scanned copies of the required materials in their original forms; photos and photocopies are not accepted. (All documents must be in English.)

Required documents include:

1) International Students Basic Information Form;

2) Passport size photo in electronic version;

3) Enrollment certificate or employment certificate bearing the school’s official seal;

4) Passport scanned copy;

5) Physical examination report;

6) Certificate of Non-criminal Record;

6.Proposed Courses (subject to actual course schedule)
