International students of JCIIS participated in the 4th “china·China”(Shangyu) Ceramic Art Design Exhibition

International students of JCIIS participated in the 4th “china·China”(Shangyu) Ceramic Art Design Exhibition Award Ceremony & the Origin of Celadon—China (Shangyu) Celadon Culture Inheritance and Innovation Forum of Yue Kiln held in Shangyu District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province on December 14-15, 2020.

 

 

 

 

 

This event attracted numerous artists from around the world, and a total of more than 1200 works from 22 countries were collected, of which 500 works were selected for the competition. In the end, 55 works won the gold, silver and bronze awards through a strict review by a panel of experts.

 

International students and participants visited the Shangpu ceramic cultural town, learned about the history of Shangyu celadon and the creative transformation and innovative development of Shangyu celadon culture, and joined the “handprint retention” activity on the morning of December 14.

 

 

 

 

 

In the afternoon, they participated in the on-site creation of hundreds of art design masters for commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, observing various techniques for ceramic art creation and experiencing the glamour of ceramic artists.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the morning of December 15, the international students attended “china·China”(Shangyu) Ceramic Art Design Exhibition Award Ceremony and enjoyed the exhibition. These works with fine ornamentation and ingenious designing represent the current level of ceramic art creation in our country, and also inspire the love of overseas students for the thousand-year-old ceramic art creation skills. The international students all said they benefited a lot from participating in this event.
